Works About Paraguay
When I became a Sophomore at SAIC, I missed my home, Paraguay. So, I chose to paint customs, traditions, and places of Paraguay with bright colors (as it is always bright and sunny in Paraguay.) An example of such paintings would be: “A Sunday Afternoon at Parque Caballero" a painting that depicts figures embodying elements traditional to my culture. A figure such as small child drinking “Terere,” (our traditional tea), two figures wearing the “Ao Po’i” (the traditional shirt), women with baskets filled with “chipa” or cheese bread. Behind them is a tree with pink flowers and no leaves, and that would be the “Lapacho” tree which is the national tree. Overall, the paintings ultimate goal was to celebrate Paraguay
